Malaysia's most leading television station 8TV that recently secured themselves three international awards in two diverse categories at the 2009 Phoenix Awards that was held in Singapore had ratings soaring sky high this Chinese New Year, acclaiming the number one spot for viewership.

8TV has achieved many highpoints in the broadcasting industry, which includes various international and local awards. Uplifting its mark in the local network, 8TV continues to produce well-received in house productions to the list of top notch in-house productions.

On this auspicious and fulfilling Lunar New Year, 8TV managed to attract a shocking 30% in overall viewership ratings. Combining a wide array of local and international Chinese New Year specials, 8TV has managed to dominate 14 out of the top 20 Chinese New Year Programme spots this year.
